In the 1960's mini dresses, go-go boots, mini skirts, french manicures, false eyelashes, pillbox hats, blues, greens, and shimmery eyeshadows were in style. They didn't use much accessories. The most they used was big, dangly earrings. They often wore psychedelic prints and mismatched patterns. When the hippie era went throught the woman all wore bell bottomed jeans, tie dyed clothing, love beads, and tee shirts. The shoes that were popular were stilettos, slip-on shoes with chunky heels, and go-go boots were the "must have". The hair was pixie short bleached blonde hair. The 60's fashion was known as the statement era. Everything they wore was prints, colorful, and loose and baggy.

How did the fashion of the time affect and effect the culture? Why do you believe from your research that there was limited accessories worn?
ReplyDeleteThe fashion affected the tim eperiod now because we still wear tie dye and bright neon colors. the style all began when jaquelene kennedy wore the outfits.
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you know that Courreges had came up with "must have" fashion of mini skirts. Needless to say Mary Quant was really the one to make mini skirts so wanted, she had liked what Courreges had did to the skirts but Mary had thought they should be way more shorter. So she then tried her new idea out on some young girls fom london. To her suprise they young london girls loved and from there its history.
